Tigers’ Defense Slows Down Boise State
64 45
LSU (6-3) defeated Boise State (8-2) 64-45 by using a suffocating defensive game and some solid bench play. The Tigers held Boise State to just 22 points in the first half and 23 in the second. Proving that perhaps their recent strong defensive performances are no fluke.
The Tigers needed to be strong on defense because they were missing their leading scorer in Andre Stringer who fainted earlier in the week during walk-through practice. Freshman guard John Isaac also was absent due to a left knee injury.
Trent Johnson did say that he did not know the status of either player but that “Andre is going to get another series of tests” and with John “We’re going to take a look at his knee here in the future. I’m unconcerned about both guys.”
