#3 LSU Hosts the Towson Tigers Saturday 6:00 ESPNU
For the second week in a row the LSU football team will be facing an opponent nicknamed the tigers. This weeks opponent is not expected to give LSU near the challenge that Auburn did in Jordan-Hare Stadium. Saturday’s game may be seen by most as perhaps a chance to heal up and correct many of the mistakes made last Saturday at Auburn. Especially on the offensive side of the ball.
The Towson tigers are fresh off a 46-17 victory over St. Francis College of Pennsylvania. However on Saturday they will surely enter a hostile environment when they visit Baton Rouge on Saturday night. A situation in which the tigers have been told all week how much they need to improve. One in which this tiger fan hopes that Miles will allow Zach Mettenberger to test the wide receivers early and often especially in the short passing game. The receivers need all the practice they can get because SEC teams will force the tigers to be able to pass quite often.
Towson is led by senior quarterback Grant Enders who has 56 completions in 75 attempts. Enders has thrown 3 interceptions and 4 touchdowns for the year. The running backs are Terrance West with 5 touchdowns on the year and Dominique Booker. The two have combined for 68 attempts between them for 244 yards. Almost all of their passing yards have come from Erron Banks and Spencer Wilkins who have combined for 280 receiving yards between them and 1 touchdown.
