#7 LSU Survives Arkansas in Fayettville 20-13 to Finish the Regular Season 10-2

The tigers had what seemed like a comfortable lead at halftime 10-0 and even led 17-3 over the razorbacks  for most of  the third quarter.  However, Les Miles coached games have a way of not being over until the last second has come off the clock.  Arkansas stormed back with 10 points late in the third and got within 4 points of the tigers in the fourth before Drew Alleman again stretched the lead to 7 points on a 22-yard field goal with 1:26 remaining in the contest.  With time running out,  Arkansas was forced to use their final time outs and managed to get all the way down to the LSU 18.  With only 6 seconds remaining the razorbacks’ Tyler Wilson overthrew the receiver to end the game.

The games highlight may have come on Jarvis Landry’s one-handed 22-yard touchdown catch in the second quarter which put LSU up 10-0.   Tiger quarterback Zach Mettenberger finished with 16 of 21 for 217 yards.  Zach did throw one touchdown pass for 22 yards to Jarvis Landry.  Jarvis led the team with 8 receptions for 75 yards total that again included his 1 touchdown catch.  Odell Beckham Jr. led the recievers in yards with 112 including a 47-yard catch which put the tigers in position to score in the final two minutes and take a 7 point lead.  Jeremy Hill led the LSU rushing attack with 77 yards on 18 carries.

LSU again won the battle for the golden boot!
