Tigers Cruise Past the Houston Baptist Huskies 75-58
LSU had little trouble Friday night and fans got a somewhat rare look at many of the tiger backups in the second half. It was the tigers first home game after a three-game road trip. The tigers won their eighth game and are now 8-2 while the huskies fell to 4-8 in dropping their second straight game. The tigers jumped out to an early 7-0 lead and never lost the lead as they easily won 75-58.
Junior forward Jalen Courtney led the scoring with 11 points and seven rebounds off the bench. Junior forward Shavon Coleman added 11 points as well to go with his 13 rebounds, 3 steals, and 4 blocked shots. 7″3 Senior Center Andrew Del Piero also added 9 points and had 4 blocks. Junior guard Andre Stringer poured in 11 points. Eddie Ludwig, Malik Morgan, and Charles Carmouche all scored 9 points in the victory.
The huskies sophomore guard Tyler Russel led with 15 points, 1 rebound, 4 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block.
