LSU Baseball Falls to South Carolina 4-0 on Sunday; Drops First Series
For the first time this year the tiger baseball team failed to win the weekend series over an SEC opponent. #2 ranked LSU (39-6, 16-5) fell to #10 ranked South Carolina (33-12, 13-8 SEC) in Sunday’s ” rubber game” and therefore finds themselves with their first series loss of the year.
The tigers will remain home for a 6:30 Tuesday night contest against McNeese State. LSU starter Kurt McCune got the loss for the tigers dropping to 3-1 on the season. The tigers only managed six hits in Sunday’s loss. Gamecock left-hander Jack Wynkoop got the win only allowing five hits in seven innings of work.
