LSU Now Stands at 21 Commitments for the Class of 2013; 2 Commitments Already for 2014

The LSU coaching staff continues to make certain that the tigers stay among the elite.  Recruiting is the life blood of college football.  No doubt that coaching is very important once the players make it to campus but it sure is an advantage to start with a group of highly ranked linebackers, defensive backs, lineman, running backs, recievers, etc.

Not only is the tiger staff wrapping up the state of Louisiana but doing their homework in having spent much of the offseason visiting players from all across the country as well.  Here is a list of the current commitments:

LSU Football’s 2013 class is ranked #3 according to Rivals.com, #5 according to  247sports.com, and #6 according to Scout.com.  National Signing Day is not until February so remember all the 2013 recruits still have their senior year in high school ahead of them.

 

 

#7 Seed LSU Baseball will Host Stony Brook Starting Friday at The Box (ESPN2)

The Baton Rouge Super Regional will feature the tigers vs the seawolves beginning Friday at 11:00.  ESPN2 will air all three contests and have selected LSU vs Stony Brook for the early Friday time slot.  All games are also available online at ESPN3.  Game 2 is scheduled for Saturday at 11:00 and if necessary Game 3 will be played Sunday at 12:00.  According to coach Mainieri the tigers will start Aaron Nola on Friday in game 1,  Kevin Gausman on  Saturday for game 2, and  the Sunday pitcher will be Ryan Eades if  game 3 is necessary.

The seawolves defeated Central Florida 10-6 Monday night to move into the Super Regional round to face #7 LSU.
