Friday Night Pitcher’s Duel Ends in a Tiger Victory with a Walk Off Single in the Bottom of the 10th for the Victory 3-2; The Tigers will Host the Bulldogs Saturday at 6:00 (ESPN3)

LSU second baseman Jacoby Jones came up with the game winner in the bottom of the 10th inning and the game locked in a 2-2 tie.  Mississippi State took the lead on catcher Mitch Slauter’s two-out solo homer in the top half of the 1oth which made the score 2-1 bulldogs.  Previous to Jones game winning single up the middle, third baseman Tyler Hanover led off the 10th inning with a single against Mississippi State reliever Caleb Reed and was sacrificed to second base by catcher Ty Ross.  Designated hitter Grant Dozar hit a double to right field to score Hanover with the tying run.

Starting Pitcher Kevin Gausman finished with 122 pitches thrown over 8.2 innings and a career-high 11 strikeouts.  Sophomore right hander Ryan Eades will take the mound Saturday night for game 2.
