Tiger Basketball Earns a Spot in the NIT Tournament at Oregon 8:30 Tuesday on ESPN
The LSU Basketball team will now officially take part in postseason. The tigers who are the #6 seed will travel to Eugene, Oregon to face the #3 seed Oregon Ducks in the first round of the National Invitational Tournament.
Tiger Baseball Beats Michigan 6-0 on the Starting Pitching of Kevin Gausman
LSU racked up 6 runs, 12 hits, and no errors in moving to 12-2 in the young season. Kevin Gausman struck out a career high 11 batters and only surrendered 2 hits in the victory. Michigan (6-7) will play Notre Dame at noon before facing LSU at 6:30. Ryan Eades will take the mound Saturday for the tigers.
LSU Falls to Kentucky 60-51 Yet Gives an Inspired Effort in the Loss
LSU led for much of the game against #1 Kentucky but down the stretch the wildcats were just too much. #1 Kentucky went into the game as a 17 point favorite but the tigers found impressive resolve in battling for 40 minutes.
Tigers Overcome Arkansas in New Orleans 70-54; Face Kentucky on Friday at Noon
Johnny O’Bryant scored 18 points and had 11 rebounds to lead LSU to a 70-54 victory over Arkansas early Thursday afternoon to push LSU into the SEC Tournament quarterfinals on Friday against highly ranked Kentucky.

Freshman Aaron Nola Pitches a 3 Hitter as Tiger Baseball Defeats Tulane 5-0

The LSU baseball team defeated the Tulane Green Wave on Tuesday night at Turchin Stadium in New Orleans. The tigers scored 2 runs in the 2nd inning, 1 in the 4th inning, 1 run in the 8th inning, and 1 in the 9th. Freshman pitcher Aaron Nola kept the Tulane hitters off balance all night with an impressive complete game performance. Tyler Hanover lead the team with 2 runs on 3 hits.
