#3 LSU Baseball Hosts Georgia this Weekend

The #3 ranked tiger baseball team (33-9, 12-6) will host a three game series with the Georgia bulldogs (24-18, 8-10) this weekend.   LSU’s Raph Rhymes  leads the tigers into the series with a .497 batting average and is 71  for 143 this season. 

Friday’s series opener will start at 7:00 when LSU sends Kevin Gausman to the mound.  In addition the Friday game will be televised by Cox Sports.  Saturday and Sunday’s game will be televised by ESPN 3 including Sunday on ESPN 2 as well.  On Saturday the tigers are expected to send Ryan Eades to the mound for a 6:30 start and then Sunday at 1 with Aaron Nola set to pitch the finally.

Baseball Takes on Georgia

#1 LSU Defeats #2 Kentucky in Lexington 5-4 to Take Game 1

The now SEC leading Tigers (32-7, 12-4) took game 1 from the wildcats (33-6, 11-5) in another one run victory.  Sophomore Kevin Gausman went seven innings and had 11 strikeouts.  Juniors Chris Cotton and Nick Goody provided great late inning relief.

Austin Nola drove in 3 runs with his clutch hitting to lead the tiger bats.

Sophomore Ryan Eades is scheduled to pitch today at 1:00 and then freshman  Aaron Nola on Sunday at noon.

#1 LSU Travels to #2 Kentucky For a Blue Grass Battle!

The #1 ranked LSU Baseball (31-7, 11-4) team takes to the road again this time to battle Kentucky ( 33-5, 11-4).  Game 1 on Friday is at 5:30, Saturday’s game 2 is for 1:00, and Sunday at 12:00.  Friday and Saturday’s games will be on television through Cox Sports South.

Sophomore Kevin Gausman will pitch on Friday, Ryan Eades on Saturday, and then a return to the starting rotation for Aaron Nola on Sunday.

SEC Top Teams Square Off in Lexington
