#2 LSU Baseball Travels to Columbia to Face Missouri Friday 6:00
LSU baseball (23-2, 5-1 SEC) heads to Missouri (9-12, 2-4 SEC)for the first time. LSU has won 16 of its last 17 games inclluding a 5 game win streak. The LSU tigers come in after a three-game sweep over Auburn last weekend as well as a 14-1 victory over Tulane Tuesday night in New Orleans. The Missouri tigers defeated Nebraska-Omaha 11-4 on Wednesday.
LSU is batting .313 as a team including freshman shortstop Alex Bregman with a .696 batting average in the last five games. Senior first baseman Mason Katz leads the team with 41 RBIs and has a batting average of .368.
LSU Baseball Beats Tulane 14-1 on Tuesday
Shortstop Alex Bregman batted 4 for 4 and finished with 3 or more hits for the fifth straight game as the #2 ranked tigers improved to 23-2. The green wave fell to 14-13 and was beaten on the 10 run mercy rule in the 8th inning of Tuesday night’s ballgame. LSU right-hander Russell Reynolds (1-0)was impressive in getting the victory for the tigers allowing one unearned run with four hits and four strike-outs. Tulane starter Brady Wilson (1-1) finished with the loss allowing seven runs on six hits in 1.1 innings of work.
LSU will travel to Missouri this weekend to take on the tigers.

The tigers put their 22-2 record on the line in New Orleans tonight against the green wave (14-12) led by senior Brennan Middleton. LSU leads the overall series 175-125-3. The tigers have won 16 of their last 17 games including a sweep this past weekend against Auburn.
LSU Baseball Completes the Weekend Sweep Over Auburn! 8-2
The tigers bats were alive and baserunners were plenty as were RBIs as LSU finished the sweep over the tigers from Auburn. LSU moves to 22-2, 5-1 SEC while Auburn falls to 15-9, 0-6 SEC.
LSU faces Tulane Tuesday night at Tulane. Game time is set for 6:30 and will be on Cox Sports Television. Next weekend the tigers will be at Missouri in a 3 game series.
LSU Baseball Clinches Series Over Auburn 5-1, Final Game Sunday 1:00 CST
The LSU tigers defeated the Auburn tigers 5-1 Saturday to clinch the weekend series. Junior right hander Ryan Eades was impressive on the hill for the tigers who improved to (21-2,4-1 SEC). Auburn fell to 15-8, 0-5 SEC. Ryan Eades who is now 5-0 allowed only 1 run and seven hits in 6.2 innings.
LSU and Auburn will conclude the series on Sunday at 1:00 and the game will air on Cox Sports Television.
