Aaron Nola pitched 7 and 2/3 innings to propel the LSU tigers to a 2-0 victory Friday night over the Missouri tigers and record LSU’s sixth striaight win. LSU (24-2, 6-1 SEC) won its first game against Missouri (9-13, 2-5 SEC) since it joined the conference last July.

Missouri starter Rob Zastrynzy (1-5) allowed only a single earned run when Mason Katz hit a two out fastball for a home run in the fourth inning. The homer was Katz’s 11th home run. LSU scored an unearned run with two outs in the eighth on a misplayed Raph Rhymes ground ball to second base which allowed Andrew Stevenson to score and give the tigers the 2-0 lead which turned out to be all they would need.
