#3 LSU Baseball Hosts Ole Miss in the Season’s Final SEC Series; Thursday’s Game 1 6:30 ESPNU
The tigers (46-7, 21-6 SEC) wrapped up the SEC western division championship last Saturday and will host Mississippi (35-18, 14-13 SEC) this weekend to wrap up the 2013 regular season. Aaron Nola is not scheduled to pitch this weekend and replacing Nola will be junior right-hander Kurt McCune who is expected to get the start on Friday night in Game 2 which is scheduled for a 7:00 start. Game 3 is scheduled to start at 12:00 on Sunday.
All three games this weekend will be televised. LSU’s 46 wins are the most in school historysince the NCAA adopted a 56 game schedule. 21 SEC victories is the most by a tiger team since the 1998 team finished with a 29-9 league record.
