#3 LSU Baseball to Host #19 Florida in a Three-Game Series Begining Thursday Night at 6:30 on ESPNU

#3 LSU improved to 40-6 overall with a 7-3 victory Tuesday night against McNeese State and is still in first place in the Western Division of the SEC at 16-4.  The tigers will return to Alex Box Stadium Thursday night to begin a three-game series with #19 ranked Florida (25-20, 12-9 SEC).  Thursday’s first pitch is scheduled for 6:30.

Florida brings in a team with a lot a new faces but they do bring talent.  Because of all the new players Florida has struggled through the first few weeks of the season but since the last weekend of March are 14-4 and have won 10 of 14 conference games.

Sophomore left-hander Cody Glenn (5-1, 3.13 ERA) will get the Game 1 start tonight vs the gators who are hitting .278 in conference play.  The Thursday starter for Florida is unknown but the gators do plan to start junior right-hander Jonathan Crawford (3-5, 4.06 ERA) in Saturday’s Game 2 at 6:30 (Cox Sports Television).  Game 3 will be Saturday at noon on ESPN2.

All three games this weekend will be televised.
