LSU Basketball Hosts South Carolina at 7:00 ESPN3

LSU (9-4,0-2 SEC) will take on South Carolina (10-5, 0-2 SEC) in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center Wednesday night. The tigers will look to overcome the poor shooting which hampered them against Auburn and Florida.  LSU shot just 34.8 percent in its first two games.  According to LSU coach Johnny Jones the gamecocks are a very aggressive and physical team.

Junior forward Shavon Coleman leads the tigers with 13.1 points per game and 8.4 rebounds per game.  Andre Stringer, Anthony Hickey, and Johnny O’Bryant III all average over 10 points a game.  Johnny O’Bryant and Shavon Coleman have the most rebounds with 7.3 and 8.4 respectively.

For South Carolina, senior guard Lashay Page leads the scoring with 11.7 points per game.  Junior guard Brenton Williams averages 11.5 points per game.  The leader in rebounds for the gamecocks is senior forward Lakeem Jackson who has 7 rebounds a game and 9.8 points per game.  Freshman forward Michael Carrera scores 9.8 points per game and has 6.8 rebounds per game.
