LSU Takes Down Arkansas in Baton Rouge 65-60
The tigers were impressive in mowing down the razorbacks in the Pmac Wednesday night. LSU got a big SEC win and improved its record to 17-9, 8-7 SEC. The Arkansas razorbacks fell to 17-11, 8-7 SEC. The tigers led 45-32 at the break. The tigers led the entire second half but Arkansas was able to get within 2 points of the tigers with 1:30 remaining. Although LSU turned the ball over late and experienced some streaky free throw shooting down the stretch they survived to come away with the 5 point victory.
Charles Carmouche had a great night leading the tigers with 26 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals. Carmouche also finished 9 for 11 in field goals and 3 for 5 from three-point range. Anthony Hickey finished with 10 points, 3 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals. Shavon Coleman finished with 8 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 steals. Malik Morgan had a nice night with 7 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals.
Mardracus Wade led Arkansas with 15 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 4 steals. Marshawn Powell was a big part of the razorbacks as well with 17 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist, and 3 steals.
The tigers travel to face the Missouri tigers on Saturday.
