The #9 LSU Tigers vs the #14 Clemson Tigers in the 2013 Chik-fil-a Bowl 6:30 ESPN

After a 10-2 regular season finish the LSU tigers will play the Clemson tigers in Atlanta in the Chik-fil-A bowl.  The Clemson tigers bring an identical record of 10-2 into the Georgia Dome tonight so both teams will be seeking their 11th victory of the season.  LSU leads the overall series 2-0, and will be playing in their 13th straight bowl game which is a school record.  The game is the eighth straight under Les Miles.

LSU will look to take advantage of a Clemson defense that has been average at best this season.  Clemson has given up 22 rushes which went for over 20 yards and also has allowed over 40 passing plays that went for 20 yards or more.  The LSU tigers will try to employ a balanced attack especially with the recent success of Zach Mettenberger and his recievers.  The rushing has picked up as well with the help of Jeremy Hill.

The Clemson Tigers on the other hand will look to move the ball against an LSU defense that has only surrendered 16.9 points per game and less than 300 yards per game.  The Clemson tiger will depend on quarterback Tahj Boyd.  Boyd has passed 4,000 all purpose yards in his last two seasons and is a threat with his feet just as much as he is in the passing game.  Andre Ellington is a dangerous running back for Clemson and ran for 228 yards against Auburn earlier in the season.
