The Miracle of Math

Thanks to good old fashioned math, the LSU Tigers narrowly escaped Tiger Stadium with a victory, albeit a sloppy one, Saturday night. It wasn’t pretty. In fact it was pretty damn ugly. And at one point it was certain that we’d lost the game.

But if you haven’t figured it out, miracles happen on the bayou.

Thanks to Tennessee’s penalty for having 13 men on the field for the last play of the game, the Tigers were given one more chance to score with no time left on the clock. And that they did, thanks to a huge second effort by running back Stevan Ridley who pumped his legs to push back a Volunteer defender at the goal line.

With the victory, LSU improved to 5-0 on the season. Next week the Tigers travel to Florida to face Urban Meyer and a Gator team that was blown out 31-6 by #1 Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
