LSU Hosts Arkansas in a Key SEC Contest Wednesday 7:00 SECN
The 16-9, 7-7 LSU tigers will host the 17-10, 8-6 Arkansas razorbacks in the Pmac Wednesday night. The game features 2 teams trying to finish the season above .500 in conference play. The razorbacks are coming off a tough loss at Florida Saturday 71-54. The tigers won a thriller Saturday against Alabama in 3 overtimes to come away with a 97-94 victory.

LSU Knocks Off Alabama 97-94 in Triple-Overtime
The tigers were down 10 points with 2.20 remaining in the game Saturday in what looked like a sure Alabama victory going away. Fans began to lose all hope and you could almost hear it through the crowd’s silence late in the game. However the last three minutes saw the tigers mount a huge comeback scoring the final 10 points of regulation to knot the score at 69 and send the game into overtime. In the third overtime the tigers finally pulled it out despite both teams having numerous chances to put the game away. LSU moves to 16-9, 7-7 SEC while Alabama falls to 18-9, 10-4 SEC.
Johnny O’Bryant again led the tigers with 24 points, 10 rebounds, and 1 block. Charles Carmouch had a great day scoring 20 points, and adding 11 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals. Shavon Coleman had 17 points, 8 rebounds, 2 blocks, and 1 steal. Anthony Hickey had 13 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals. Andre Stringer scored 10 points, had 5 rebounds, and 4 assists.

The tigers look to get back on the winning track and back to .500 in the conference when they host the crimson tide Saturday. LSU ‘s slim NCAA tournament hopes are still alive but they are more likely headed to the NIT in the post season which is a big credit to head coach Johnny Jones and his players. The tiger men’s basketball team enters the game with a 15-9, 6-7 SEC record while Alabama comes in at 18-8, 10-3 SEC.

The tigers failed to extend their win streak on the road Tuesday at Thompson-Boling Arena. LSU falls to 15-9, 6-7 SEC while Tennessee improves to 15-10, 7-6 SEC. LSU could not overcome a hot shooting night by the vols.
Johnny O’Bryant had another good night with 24 points and 8 rebounds. Anthony Hickey had 4 assists, 14 points, and 2 steals. Malik Morgan had a career best 12 points. Shavon Coleman added 8 points and Andrew Del Piero had 5 points and 6 rebounds.

The 15-8, 6-6 SEC LSU tigers travel to Thompson-Boling Arena to face the 14-10, 6-6 Tennessee volunteers. The tigers look to increase their two game winning streak while increasing their standings in the SEC. The vols are currently on a 3 game winning streak with victories over South Carolina, Vanderbilt, and Kentucky.
